TankWars
Overview
TankWars started off as a simple tank deathmatch kind of game. After adding more and more features it was turning into a realtime strategy game in which the player could control vehicles directly and construct buildings. Unfortunately this goal was a bit too ambitious and I stopped the development - primarily due to the fact that in order to play such a game, a lot of human players are required.
- vehicles: buggy, harvester, construction vehicle
- weapons: normal gun, mole bomb (projectile is rolling on the ground), railgun, killer bee (small RC plane that can launch molebombs)
- buildings: headquarters, refinery, wind turbine, repair facility, turret
Harvesters automatically collected resources and returned them to the refinery. Turrets were firing at enemy vehicles. Computer controlled buggies picked up crates dropped by a cargo airplane. Quite a lot was actually working, but nevertheless far too much was still missing…
